Within the music industry there are conventional shots that fit different genres. Our song ‘Last Friday Night’ is a pop song so therefore we need to make sure we use cinematography that fit the genre and the repertoire of elements. This is vital as it’s important for an audience to have a preferred viewing whilst we also have to include some un conventional shots in order to stand out in a saturated market and capture  consumers attention in order to promote the artist and their song.

We looked into some shots from pop music videos that are conventional to the genre like a mid shot and a wide shot whilst we also looked into some non conventional cinematography like the transition shot and a track.

When we begin to film our music video this visual shot list will guide and help us as a reminder of what shots we need to make sure we include as well as some ideas to play around with to make our video more dynamic and engaging for an audience.
