Mission Statement and Plan

In preparation for our stars new album release we need to create a marketing strategy to help promote the album to generate more attention/interest boosting sales and profit. Below is a slide me and my team worked on which goes through our marketing plan and our mission statement for our whole campaign.  Throughout the presentation, we showcased our research on our target audience demographics and psychographics as when creating any media product it’s vital to ensure you know everything about your audience so you can cater the product to suit their taste. We also discussed our call to action plan which presented some of our ideas on how we can reach and persuade our target audience into buying the album as well as highlighting the star image we are aiming to construct and sell to our audience.

In a saturated market there are a lot of competitors especially in the pop industry, therefore we explored some of our competitors looking into the conventions used in terms of designs and promotions whilst also looking into were there is a gap so we can create a unique selling point in order to stand out and boost interest.

Our mission statement for our campaign is:

“The pop leader of this generation Aimee Strobl is back and better than ever before! After the worldwide success of her last album “Hot Mess” she is swinging her melodic vocals into a whole new direction. Combining catchy dance pop beats with hints of a retro nostalgia, we see her newest and most unforgettable album ‘euphoria’ evolve into the light. Join us as we dance back in time into the wild and crazy life of your favourite star.”

Our mission statement sums up the vibe of our brand identity we are aiming to achieve which is a modern day pop meets retro tunes. This fits into our music video which is a song about reminiscing on the past and throughout there are elements of a retro feel like the modern day juke box, and a retro air hockey table which helps add continuity to our promotional package. We also chose the album name ‘euphoria’ as the adjective connotes an intense feelings of happiness and excitement which not only fits the music video being about a party but also ties into our brand being upbeat and happy.

Thinking forward, now we have planned it’s time to put it all into action. First thing to begin thinking about is our digipack design as we need to think about how to incorporate our brand identity of this contemporary-retro feel within our media language and design choices.
