Digipak

 

To get an idea for my Digipak, I made a Look Book to compare and contrast different designs. This shows me different design patterns, styles of digipaks and inspirations all relevant to my genre of music that I have chosen.

Through the use of repertoire of elements and integrated advertising, I have to make a digipak to release to an audience to promote my band and go along with my music video.

This task has inspired me to begin to bring different concepts together to make a good and appealing digipak that will attract the correct audience by communicating the brand in a certain way so they do not reject the text.

Our Mission Statement – The Package Brand

Digipak

A mission statement is very important, it is the flagship marketing stunt that promotes your product to your audience. In this case my mission statement is for my band. The brand and the band are the star of the show so it is important that I express them in the correct way to the audience so they do not reject the text, this can be done through the use if integrated advertising.

Designing my digipak correctly is important, I need to make sure that it fits in with the genre that it is being produced for and portrays the star image in the correct way. If it is to out of the ordinary or not what the audience is expecting then they will reject the text. This is problematic as the entire point is to generate money. In combination with the digipak, I am also making a social media page to further promote my brand, the artist and the new release of an album. It also gives a chance for the audience to connect to the artist on a more personal level.

Although the digipak and social media page has to be similar to one currently in the industry, there also has to be a unique selling point (USP) for the digipak to make it stand out and distinguishable from the others so that the genre of music is recognisable but different enough to satisfy the needs of the audience.
